What's the Best Way to Carry a Phone as a Wheelchair User?

How do you hold your phone? When I have a bag, I put it in there, no problem. But when I’m rolling around the house, it gets awkward. I don’t use footplates, so my legs move a little with the wheelchair. Anything I put on or between my legs will fall off unless I keep them very still. I’ve thought about sitting on the phone, but that’s awkward.

I keep my phone in my pocket. My front, right pocket is accessible when sitting in my chair. If that doesn’t work for you, get a cell phone holder that either has belt loops (if you wear belts) or has a simple belt clip. With the belt clip, you can clip the cell phone holder to your pocket so that the phone sits securely on top of your leg. The phone stays accessible but won’t move around.

For those no-pockets (or no-pants) scenarios, I stick my phone under my thigh.
