Is it Acceptable to Use the Accessible Restroom Due to Too Much Noise?

Hey I’m autistic, and sometimes, at big events, I use the handicapped bathroom. It’s quieter, and I can’t use the female bathroom because it’s so loud. Is this ok? I don’t want to be one of those people who think that disabled people are a myth so it’s ok to use their facilities.

What do you do if the event you are at does not have a separate accessible bathroom?

Do you not use the restroom at the event at all?

Do you try and get in and out of the main restroom as fast as possible or wait for the restroom to be less busy?

If it’s the latter, I would say don’t use the accessible restroom so that others with a greater need/an inability to use another restroom have access.
