How Do You Safely Carry Fragile Items in a Classroom Setting?

Any advice on being in a school lab setting in a wheelchair or with a mobility aid? It’s kind of hard to carry well plates on your lap.

It depends on how dangerous the situation would be if something got dropped. If it’s particularly risky, I would ask for assistance from the professor leading the class. If it’s just a matter of something being bulky or needing two hands, I would use some kind of rolling cart. If the professor used a rolling cart to transport the items or to hand them out in class, use that to move stuff back and forth. If neither of these options are available for some reason, work with your professor or the school itself to come up with an accomodation. No one wants a lab accident.
