Can Wheelchair Users Easily Wear Rings?

Anonymous asks, quote:

I’m wondering how wedding rings are worn when you’re a chair user. I use a wheelchair, and I’ve heard rings are usually a no‐go if you’re a manual chair user. Are there are other ways you feel comfortable wearing a ring?

end quote.

I’ve been married for several years now and have worn a ring since day one. As far as I’m aware, there’s no safety or comfort issues with wearing rings that are unique to wheelchair users.

As far as comfort goes, there’s no major issues I’ve encountered. I even wear gloves most of the time while using my chair and they fit fine over my ring.

You will be a bit noisy when pushing your chair (if your hand hits the rim) and when you grab hold of a handrail in a bathroom stall (ping!). But you can mitigate the noise by being conscious of where and how you grip stuff.
